Anglicare’s values of integrity and authenticity require employees, volunteers and carers to be of good character. We work with vulnerable people and their protection is vitally important.
We require disclosure of criminal charges, convictions and apprehended violence orders through a statutory declaration and criminal history checks conducted by the Australian Federal Police and Commissioner for Children and Young People. Police checks are renewed every three years.
Criminal convictions do not necessarily prevent someone from joining Anglicare and some of our most effective workers have a troubled past. We know that people can transform their lives. Please talk to us honestly and openly about your situation.
