The Anglican Retirement Community Services Board
The Board of management of an Anglicare service consists of: the Presiding Member; the Deputy Presiding Member; the Diocesan Registrar; not more than 7 members appointed by Anglicare Council with the consent of the Bishop and after consultation with the Presiding Member; and the co-opted member or members (if any). The Presiding Member and the Deputy Presiding Member are to be appointed by the Bishop-in-Council. The Anglicare (Governance Provisions) Amendment Ordinance 2003 provides that the Bishop shall be designated 'Visitor' to each of the Anglicare Services and shall have the powers and functions usually attaching to the office of Visitor of a charitable corporation.

The ARCS Board has two committees operating: the finance committee and the care and ethics committee. The Board meets on the first Wednesday of each month.

Features:
Hostel. The hostel buildings feature 5 cottages which each house either 15, 12 or 10 residents. Each cottage has its own dining/lounge room as well as a sunroom alcove.   Each bedsitting room has an ensuite and overlooks an architect designed courtyard.   Including two dementia specific cottages.
Nursing Home. This building comprises five cottages with a central dining room and two nurse stations. Including one special needs cottage.

Features:
The Nursing   Home houses 40 residents in five cottages. Each cottage has two double and four single rooms. Each cottage has a lounge alcove, and there is a central lounge, dining and therapy area.
Victoria Shakespeare Cottage, houses 12 residents in extra services places.
Illoura is a dementia specific cottage which houses 16 residents suffering from Dementia. This is a self contained secure environment where residents are free to wander in complete safety.
Each room has its own toilet and shower facilities.
The Hostel is set in attractively landscaped grounds with a barbecue and outside sitting area.
Each single room has an ensuite. It has a small dining room on the first floor for residents who cannot use the main dining room. Upstairs has a large open plan lounge room and dining room.

Features:
A resident warden ensures that support required by residents is provided. These self care units offer security and independence. They are located adjacent to the St. David's Church and short walk to the shops and services. There is a community centre, well lit external areas and landscaped gardens.
Twenty six independent living units have 2 bedrooms and one unit has three bedrooms. All have lock up garages, with storage, and an emergency call system.

Brindabella Court, Downer - Self Care Units

Features:
Brindabella Court is located on bus routes to Dickson and Civic. It is a short walk to the shops and services. It offers security, privacy and a caring community to provide support, when and if needed. It has a community centre, wheelchair access, landscaped gardens and an outdoor recreation area. A resident warden ensures that support required by residents is provided. An emergency call system is in place.

Features:
Bimbimbie offers two types of self care units, either government funded or resident funded, and a hostel. Facilities available include a library, activities room and a visiting hairdresser. Meals on Wheels operate in Merimbula and may be obtained by the residents of the self care units.

Wollondilly Gardens is situated on an 11  hectare site adjacent to the Wollondilly River in Goulburn.
Wollondilly Gardens has a community hall with a visiting hairdresser and massage room, library shelves and indoor heated pool. The villas are one, two, three and four bedroom with landscaped grounds including a large rose garden, outdoor furniture and a riverside walk. A resident warden ensures that support required by residents is provided. These self care units offer security and independence with an emergency call system in place.
